Die Gesetzesinitiative soll auf Druck der Sicherheitsdienste umgesetzt werden, die dann auf zahlreiche Informationen zugreifen könnten. Die Ermittler sollen sogar einen "Echtheit"-Zugang auf alle Telefon- und Online-Daten erhalten. Der Vorschlag zur VDS heavy kam vom britischen Inlandsgeheimdienst MI5, dem Auslandsgeheimdienst Mi6 und der Regierungsbehörde Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).

wir schreiben dieses Thema, weil Olaf und Ich derzeit am überlegen sind, wie es mit PP weiter gehen soll. In den letzen Wochen und Monaten werden verschärft die Filehoster in's Visier der Justiz genommen und durch diverse gesetzliche Vorstöße (ACTA, IPRED, SOPA) soll dem One-Click-Hosting anscheinend ein Riegel vorgeschoben werden. Seitdem Megaupload zugemacht hat und auch sehr viele Filehoster die weiße Fahne geschwenkt haben bzw. wie jetzt Rapidshare ihre Nutzer mit geringen Downloadraten gängeln, gehen uns derzeit die Möglichkeiten aus, die Bootlegs mit ausreichender Verfügbarkeit an unsere Mitglieder weiter zu geben. Aus dem Grund haben wir überlegt, ob wir wieder zum Torrent-System zurückkehren sollten. Anfangs wollten wir ja zu der Hochzeit der Filehoster selbst einen Filehosting-Dienst aufbauen, jedoch sind die Beschränkungen was zb. den verfügbaren bzw. benötigten Speicherplatz betrifft, ein Hindernis. Sämtliche Angebote für einen eigenen Server, der dafür benötigt würde, reichen nicht aus, um im großem Umfang Bootlegs zur Verfügung zu stellen. Das DHT-System bei Torrent ist auch nicht unbedingt der Weißheit letzter Schluss. Zudem war in den vergangenen Monaten bzw. Jahren kaum davon zu hören, dass große Torrent-Seiten aufgelöst wurden. Außerdem sind unsere Downloads eine eine rechtliche Grauzone (wo kein Kläger, da kein Richter).

Deshalb haben wir folgende Überlegungen angestellt:

- Server mieten
- Tracker von 2009 reaktivieren

Folgen:

- Benutzerdatenbank wird aktuell übernommen
- Benutzer erhalten neues Passwort per Mail
- Tracker startet ohne Torrents

Bezüglich der Folgen tut es uns leid, dass der Tracker bei NULL anfangen muss. Langfristig betrachtet sehen wir aber dies als beste Möglichkeit, um unseren Mitgliedern den bestmögichsten Service bieten zu können. Die Benutzerränge bzw. Benutzergruppen würden übernommen und die damit erhaltene Privilegien beibehalten werden. Zudem würden wir Vorsichtsmaßnahmen treffen, um ein ungewolltes Abschalten des Trackers zu verhindern. Konkret hieße das, dass ein Nutzer maximal 100 aktive Torrents haben darf. Dieses Limit kann, sollte sich herausstellen, dass der Server zu mehr in der Lage ist, auch erhöht werden.

Nicht jedes unserer Mitglieder ist in der Lage, sich angesichts der Lage bei den Filehostern, einen Pro-Account zu kaufen. Zudem gibt es davon noch viele und die Rechtslage bzgl. der Filehoster kann auch dahingehend verschärft werden, dass zukünftig auch die IP-Adressen der Downloader an die Justiz überstellt werden müssen. Die einzig uns verbleibenden Möglichkeiten sind entweder das Torrent-System wieder intensiver zu nutzen, oder zu warten bis ausreichende Leitungskapazitäten zur Verfügung stehen, dass man sich einen privaten FTP-Server zu Hause hinstellen kann. Alle anderen Ideen sind rein rechtlich oder finanziell nicht umsetzbar.

Wir bitten darum, dass ihr euch diese Argumente durchlest und daraufhin selbst abwägt, was für PP die beste Wahl ist. Wir denken allerdings, dass diese Option schon das mögliche Optimium darstellt.

We should like to revert to this topic since Olaf and myself have been exchanging views for quite some time on to get on with Perfect Purple. For the last few weeks or rather months legal authorities have had an eye on especially file hosts by trying to introduce a number of questionable means and instruments (ACTA, IPRED, SOPA) aiming at stopping their activities.

After Megaupload was shut down many other file hosts hoisted the flag of surrender as well and Rapidshare currently forces their users into download speeds of 30 kb/s.
Being faced with this situation we are slowly running short of possibilities to provide our members with bootlegs to a sufficient extend. For this reason we had a second thought on possibly returning to a torrent system.

Initially, when file hosts were in their prime, we intended to set up a file hosting service ourselves. However, this is partially prevented by the limitations as to storage capacity available or required respectively. Any offer we were submitted in this regard was not sufficient to make bootlegs available to a major extend.
The torrent DHT-system is not the smartest solution either. Moreover within recent months or even years it has not become known either that large torrent platforms had been relinquished. Moreover, our downloads are a legal no man zone. Where there is no complainant, there does not have to be a judge either.

Therefore we developed the following ideas:

- Rental of a server
- Reactivation of the 2009 tracker

Consequences:

- current user data base is being adopted
- users get a new password by mail
- tracker starts without torrents

As regards the consequences we are sorry that the tracker has to restart at null.
In the long run we consider this the best choice aiming at being in a position to offer the best service possible to our members. The individual user status and related privileges would be adopted as well. Moreover we would take necessary precautions to prevent an undesirable switching-off of the server. More precisely this would mean that a user would be permitted to actively run 100 torrents at a maximum. This limitation could be extended in case the server should turn out to be of higher capacity.

Unfortunately there are members among us, who are due to their personal situations not in a position buy a file host premium account. It should also be taken into consideration that the legal situation concerning file hosts can become even more drastic in future in the way that user IP-addresses could be passed on to legal authorities in case a corresponding demand is raised.

The only possibilities left to us now are to either reestablish the torrent system, or to wait for sufficient performance capacities to become available to commission a private FTP-server.

Any other ideas are not to be implemented due to either financial or legal issues.

We kindly ask you to study our information and to consider yourselves what would be the best solution for Perfect Purple. However, we believe that the choice we presented is the beast one feasible.

It's a well known tune played live in 2011 by a bunch of great musicians.
It is no real band more a session played at a festival.

It seems that there was no bassguitar.
The guitarist is also the lead singer on this tune.

You will know the track and I think the singer / gitarrist is very obvious.
If you identify the singer / guitarist than the drummer is clear.

But my question is: Who is the Hammond player?
(Hint: He does not play the piano, there are two keyboarder).

Great Hammond solo.

I think not anyone will know his name but in Germany, where I live, he is very famous. But who knows him will be surprised, that he (only) plays the Hammond organ the whole concert.
